Jaka Bijol, Sandi Lovric and Thomas Kristensen all started for and won with their national teams on Tuesday.
Bijol and Lovric helped Slovenia beat Portugal 2-0. The defender was instrumental during his 87 minutes on the field while the midfielder made a key contribution to the clean sheet, before coming off after 67 minutes.
Thomas Kristensen meanwhile played the full 90 minutes for Denmark U21 as they defeated Lithuania 3-0 to move top of Group I in U21 Euro 2025 qualifying.
With rotation and experimentation commonplace elsewhere, Jordan Zemura (Zimbabwe 1-3 Kenya), Festy Ebosele (Republic of Ireland 0-1 Switzerland) and Nehuen Perez (Argentina 3-1 Costa Rica) did not feature for their national teams.
